Great story, about the days and time of taking care of her Nana. and the things that it takes at time to take care of a elderly person. great story.
I loved it! Cathy writes with a voice that is earthy and charming, and she knows how to find and communicate the humor in any situation. I got to the end of the story too soon, and found myself wanting more!

l loved this book! What a wonderfully delightful book full of true emotions and feelings from the author. Nana was for sure a wonderful woman, but taking care of your grandmother when she is 92 and has some challenges, can't be easy. Cathy was able to tell her story, keeping it real and keeping her readers laughing, and also wondering how and what they would do in the same situation. I couldn't put the book down until I had finished it cover to cover.
I can not agree more with the reviews already written. Cathy has a huge, compassionate heart, and her book allows the feelings of caregivers to be validated...so important when undertaking on such a monumental responsibility. I truly hope this book becomes a best seller, for its content is so valuable.
If you've ever cared for a parent or grandparent or are a parent or grandparent, you'll find moments in the book that you recognize all too well and with Cathy's wit, the humor that we all must find to navigate these situations. Cathy has a dry and wicked sense of humor totally infused with love and care that we all need to get through some of life's more challenging situations. We are not alone in our human-ness....and life is too long and way too short to not laugh. Thoroughly recommend!
Caregivers can feel very isolated at times. So, it was a pleasure to read Cathy Sikorski’s vey relatable story. She uses humor as a powerful coping tool, while infusing it with deep love and admiration for her Nana. I found the book warm, funny and deeply poignant.
We are a country with lots of baby boomers who are moving into new positions of being a caregiver to our parents or being cared for by our children. Caregiving can be a sticky situation that leaves you frustrated and a little crazy, unless you stop to see the humor.
That is exactly what Cathy Sikorski has done in her very funny tale of Showering with Nana…. When her grandmother moves in for several months, the daily adventures (or misadventures) of Nana, Rachael and Troonie will leave you crying with laughter. I can see myself wanting to read this book over and over again whenever I feel that life is getting a little too nuts.
This is a great read for everyone - grandparent, parent, child, or friend.
